Practical Use
A home cake stand, is traditionally used for it's use in storing cakes. But it also serves as storage for various Bread and Pastries. Made from a variety of materials, traditionally the cake stand has an elevated base with a detachable see-through dome covering. The dome serves as a shield to the elements while providing it's own storage space for the item, in it's own unique setting.Decorative Use
The Cake Stand is also a traditional display at Weddings and other festive events such as a Birthday or celebrations. Some cake stands feature multiple levels, rotating bases, and decorative shapes and themes. Some Cake stands even double as a punch or Refreshment Bowl.
