Caiman

The Caiman is a small species of crocodile. The 2 species of caimans are the black and spectacled. Caimans are cold blooded and carnivores, hunting by sight and sound.

  3. Black caimans grow to 10-14 feet
  4. Spectacled grow to 6-7 feet
  5. Have web feet
  6. Lay 50-60 eggs that take 6 weeks to hatch
  7. Spectacled caimans can tolerate salt water
  8. Nocturnal - prefer to hunt at night
