Byron Leftwich

Byron Leftwich is a professional athlete in the National Football League. He is currently a quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2008, he was a back-up Quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In his first 11 starts in the NFL, Leftwich was able to attain a passer rating of 89.3, which was in the top ten among all quarterbacks in the league. On November 3, 2008, Leftwich led the Steelers to a victory over the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. Leftwich threw two touchdowns when starting QB Ben Roethlisberger left the game with an injury to his throwing shoulder.
