Notable Alumni
Many notable alumni hail from Butler University including former Illinois governor George Ryan, choreographer Thaddeus Davis, and American novelist Kurt Vonnegut. While Vonnegut attended Butler, he did not graduate from there. He was later given an honorary degree.
