Burnout Revenge is the fourth video game in the high-speed Burnout series developed by Criterion Games. It is available for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and Xbox 360. Much like all of the past games in the Burnout series, Burnout Revenge is mostly about driving at high speeds on various tracks causing as much damage as possible to other vehicles and obstacles. The game received very high ratings from video game critics.

Players take part in a range of racing games. Some of the races include just normal start-to-finish mode, while others require a drive to collide into traffic, causing havoc. Most of the familiar modes remain in the game, including Eliminator (every 30 seconds, a car is eliminated from a race), Crash (aiming a vehicle at traffic, causing a chain reaction) and Road Rage (crash into opponents as many times as possible). There are 169 events spanned over three continents. The events are categorized into 10 ranks, and a player advances to a higher rank by achieving certain tasks in their current rank.
