Burning Man is an experimental festival that has evolved since it commenced in 1986, blending the ideas of self-expression, art and communal living in a limitless environment without the confines of behavioral rules.Burning Man: What Is Burning Man? On the Saturday of the festival, a wooden effigy resembling a human male is set ablaze, hence the name.
