Bumbo Recall

On October 25, 2007, nearly one million Bumbo Child Seats were recalled due to safety concerns. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, "if the seat is placed on a table, countertop, chair, or other elevated surface, young children can arch their backs, flip out of the Bumbo seat, and fall onto the floor, posing a risk of serious head injuries."CPSC: News from CPSC(October 25, 2007)

Bumbo suggested that consumers contact the company to obtain warning label stickers that state: "WARNING -- Prevent Falls; Never use on any elevated surface." Bumbo also encouraged consumers to only use the seat at ground level.CPSC: News from CPSC(October 25, 2007)
