Bulworth is a 1998 political comedy , starring Warren Beatty as Jay Billington Bulworth .

Warren Beatty plays Senator Jay Bulworth, a Democrat running for re-election in California. Disillusioned with politics, and losing the election, he arranges to have himself assassinated. With his death in sight, Bulworth begins speaking honestly about controversial topics, which livens up his campaign.
