In the twelfth issue of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic book series, Wolves at the Gate, Buffy sleeps with a female disciple and fellow vampire slayer named Satsu. Buffy creator and writer Joss Whedon, who is also working on the comic book and considers it the unofficial "8th season" of the show, claims that Buffy isn't gay, and is just being young and experimental.
