Buffalo Soldiers is a 2003 film that is based on the novel by Robert O'Connor of the same name. The film takes place in West Germany during 1989, and follows the lives and activities of a group of United States soldiers.
Brief Background
Adapted from a novel by Robert O'Connor, Buffalo Soldiers centers around a group of renegade soldiers in West Germany during the fall of the Berlin Wall. The film premiered at the 2001 Toronto Film Festival, but was not supported by audiences due to its satirical viewpoint of the U.S. Army during a tumultuous time after the 9-11 attacks.
