Buffalo Bills Playoffs

During the 2010 offseason the Buffalo Bills have drastically changed their team once again, due to a poor 2009 season, finishing 6-10. Buffalo started their offseason by hiring a general manager. Buddy Nix was hired on December 31 2009. That was the start of their rebuilding process after yet another failed season in which the team missed the playoffs for a 10th straight season. Next, the team would hire a head coach. Nix would hire former Dallas Cowboy head coach Chan Gailey January 19th 2010. He is now currently in the process of hiring and putting together his coaching staff for next season. The Buffalo Bills were introduced the AFL in 1960 when owner Ralph Wilson Jr. decided to start a team and place it in Buffalo. The Buffalo Bills are a professional football team that plays in the AFC East Division. They started their team playing in War Memorial Stadium, also known as the “Rockpile”. When the teams merged together to form the NFL in 1972, the Bills built a new stadium and it was named Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Bills have 17 playoff appearances in their 50 year history, and have been to the AFC Championship 6 times (1966, 1988, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993). Over the six year period where the Bills made 5 trips to the AFC Championship, the Bills were AFC Champions in 1990,1991,1992 and 1993. During that time period, they were led by leaders Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Steve Tasker and Bruce Smith. They are the only team in history to play in the Super Bowl four straight years.
