Using produce for your wedding centerpiece is easy, fast and chic. It's great for a summertime wedding or an outdoor wedding, and you don't have to worry about the centerpiece wilting like you would with flowers.The best thing about this centerpiece is that once the wedding is over, guests can take the fruits and vegetables home to eat, making it economical and environmentally friendly.
Step 1: Making the Bed of the Centerpiece
For this centerpiece, our experts used artichokes, pomegranates, lemons, an apple and kale.Use the kale to make a bed in the container. Kale makes a great bedding, because it's very hearty and strong. It doesn't fall apart when handled, and it's tough enough to stay fresh-looking throughout a day-long celebration.
Step 2: Arranging the Fruits and Vegetables
Once you have a nice bed of kale, arrange the fruits and vegetables to your liking to make the centerpiece look nice. It helps to overstuff the kale so it looks abundant.When you have finished, make sure to check it from all angles, since many guests will be looking at it.
