Pro Career
Carlyle made his MLB debut with the San Diego Padres on August 29, 1999. In his first season with the Padres he appeared in seven games and finished the season with a 5.97 earned run average. He has played for several teams throughout his career, including the Kansas City Royals, New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Florida Marlins and the Atlanta Braves.
