American brewery Anheuser-Busch purchased 7 total spots on Super Bowl XLV, held February 6, 2011, to advertise its beers. Three spots were used to promote Budweiser, and 4 spots were devoted to Bud Light.
The Bud Light commercials are all humorous and designed to demonstrate the fun and leisure time associated with football and beer drinking. The ads include:
"Severance Package": A man rides a motorcycle through a row of cubicles
"3D Test": Bud Light attempts to integrate 3D technology into its advertising, with unfortunate results
"Here We Go": A variety of fans in numerous situations prepare for the big game with the words "here we go"
"Bud Light Hotel": A Dallas Hotel was actually transformed for Super Bowl weekend into the Bud Light Hotel. On the Friday night before the game, Snoop Dogg hosted an event for Playboy Magazine at the site.
2011 Super Bowl Commercials
Bud Light released several 2011 Super Bowl Commercial "teasers" and trailers in anticipation of the nation's largest sporting and marketing event. In this spoof of a home-improvement show, the host of the fictional "Hack Job" welcomes viewers back to see a finished kitchen remodel for the Gilberts, an couple shrieking their excitement to see the results of the work. The host invites them to "take a look," and when the camera sweeps to a view of the kitchen, an ice bucket filled with bottles of Bud Light sits on a counter top. The husband exclaims "It looks amazing!" and runs to the Bud Light. The wife states "You didn't do anything, you just put Bud Light on the counter." The host replies that is exactly what they did, and that it opens up the kitchen and gives it a fun vibe to create a room people want to hang out in. In the final shot, men are seen through the patio doors stacking Bud Light cases in the back yard, and the host exclaims, "Landscapers are here - Nice!"
Bud Light — Product Placement

The commercial begins with a movie director calling "cut" on a sword fighting scene, as one man is laid across a table by his opponent, a green spray-cleaner bottle in the foreground of the scene. He asks another crew member what it is doing there, and is told that it is for product placement, and that they receive "tons of free stuff" for placing items in the movie. The director counters with "here we go." and a montage of scenes incorporating Bud Light follows, including throwing bottles during a fight scene, a Bud Light truck smashing through a wall into a room, and a knight's armor made from Bud Light logo-ed metal.

In this office workers campaign spot by Bud Light, which aired during Super Bowl XLV, a group of office workers resort to bizarre behavior in an attempt to be terminated from their jobs, after learning that a fellow worker's severance pacakge included a case of Bud Light beer. Workers are seen riding a motorcycle, playing drums and playing golf in the office, using their boss' office as a bathroom, riding an ostrich and using a jackhammer on the office floor. The result of being fired is happiness, with the tag line "It's a sure sign of a good time" following.
Bud Light — The 3D Test Commercial

This advertisement opens in the Bud Light offices, where a spokesman explains, "We at Bud Light, like most advertisers, were going to run a 3D commercial this year. In fact, we made one, but it didn't test well." A man is shown in a research testing room viewing the ad, then reaching for the 3D bottle of beer and running directly into the television. Another man attempts to grab 3D bottles out of the air, and a woman attempts to drink from a glass of Bud Light being poured in 3D. A man dives completely through a television set, ending up with it around his waist as the spokesman concludes, "We concluded that running this commercial would have been inappropriate, so we didn't. You're welcome, America." The commercial ends with the slogan, "It's a sure sign of a good time."

The phrase "here we go" has been implemented in many of the Budweiser commercials for their 2011 advertising, and is highlighted in this ad, which includes the slogan being used in a montage of scenes, including tailgating at a football game, by a Bud Light vendor inside of a stadium, by a man bringing Bud Light bottles to his friends on a sofa watching the game, by football players entering the field of play, by women sitting in lawn chairs in the parking lot of the stadium watching a man light a grill, a man offering game tickets to friends in a bar, referees on the field, and a sports announcer leading off the beginning of the game. The scene is wrapped up with the Bud Light slogan, "It's a sure sign of a good time, here we go."
2010 Commercials

2008 Commercials
During Super Bowl XLII, Bud Light was featured in an astounding seven 30-second spots. The high budget allowed for two major celebrity appearances, Will Ferrell and Carlos Mencia. Ferrell appeared in a plug for his comedy Semi-Pro and Mencia starred while coaxing those struggling with the English language, the "Language of Love". The other commercials including a man breathing fire, a man flying, a caveman, a Rocky training scene parody, a wine tasting party and x-ray vision.
Bud Light "Clothing Drive" Commercial
Deemed too racy for television, this Super Bowl commercial was instead shown on Bud light's website during Super Bowl season. It's content closely mirrors Bud Light's Swear Jar commercial, which was a past hit. The Clothing Drive clip features the same cast as Swear Jar, but features nudity instead of profanity.
2010 AutoTune Ad
One of Bud Light's 2010 Super Bowl ads centered around an autotune theme and featured rapper T-Pain. In the commercial, a husband begins to speak in autotune after his wife brings home Bud Light from the supermarket. He then calls up his friend to have a party, all of whom are speaking in autotune.
Bud Light House Commercial Super Bowl 2010
Originally airing in 2010, this Bud Light television commercial features a house made entirely of Bud Light cans. The interior features furniture made of Bud Light including a chair and couch. There is also a Bud Light lamp and Bud Light grandfather clock with a Bud Light pendulum. One of the home's visitors humorously remarks that recycling beer cans in this manner may make the home environmentally friendly.
2009 Bud Light Super Bowl Commercial
In 2009, one of Bud Light's Super Bowl ads centered around a ski resort. A friend explains to another friend the difference between Bud Light and other light beers by comparing two skiers. One skier, compared to Bud Light, skis down the mountain easily. Another skier, however, crashes into trees and a picnic area.
