Bucknell University

Bucknell University is a private university located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. The school's sports teams are part of the Patriot League.

Bucknell University was originally called University at Lewisburg, but the name changed in 1886 to recognize William Bucknell, whose financial assistance in 1881 saved the university from ruin.Bucknell University: Benefactor William Bucknell During the Great Depression, the university founded Bucknell Junior College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
