Bryce 3D

Bryce 3D is a 3D animation landscape creation application. The software displays three dimensional images that simulate mountain ranges and coastal regions. The software was inspired by Bryce Canyon National Park in Southwestern Utah. It was sold to DAZ 3D in 2004.

Development History

The first version of Bryce 3D appeared in 1994. At the time, the software was only available for Macintosh computers. In the 2.0 release of the software, Microsoft Windows support was added. This version also included several new features to help geologists map mountain and coastal regions. Some of the new features included independent light sources and a new texture editor. The first animated version arrived in 1997. This version allowed geologists to see realistic simulations of these regions in motion.
