Bryant Gumbel is a television journalist working in news and sports. Gumbel hosted The Today Show for 15 years and has earned four Emmy Awards throughout his career in television. Since 1995, he's been the host of HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel.

Bryant Gumbel Treated for Lung Cancer
On Tuesday, December 8, 2009, Gumbel revealed that he is being treated for lung cancer. The sportscaster announced the news on "Live! The news came when show host Kelly Ripa asked Gumbel to dance on stage.
