Professional hockey player Bryan Smolinski plays center for the Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League.
Smolinski competed for the United States in the 1996 and 2004 World Cup of Hockey and the 1998 and 1999 World Championships.

NHL Career
The Boston Bruins drafted Smolinksi during the first round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. He finished college at Michigan State University then joined the Bruins for nine games in the 1992-1993 season. He played with the Bruins for two more seasons, and was then traded to the New York Islanders for three years. From 1999 through 2002, Smolinski played for the Los Angeles Kings, then joined the Ottawa Senators, where he remained through 2006.He played with the Chicago Blackhawks for most of the 2006-2007 season, then went to Vancouver for 20 regular season and 12 playoff games. As a free agent, Smolinski signed a $2 million contract to play with the Montreal Canadiens for the 2007-2008 season.
