Bryan Bulaga is an offensive tackle for the Green Bay Packers. He was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft with the 23rd overall pick.
Heading into the 2010 NFL draft many NFL Draft pundits had Bulaga as the third rated OT in the 2010 draft class. Many of them had Bulaga as a lock to be a top ten pick, behind only Russell Okung and Trent Williams.
Scouts and pundits were very high on Bulaga since he is from Iowa and the school ahs been known to produce quality NFL offensive lineman. However the big minus on him is a condition known as Thyroiditis. In missed three games of the Hawkeye’s 2009 season as he noticed he was losing weight and felt unusually fatigued.
This condition is a viral infection and it took him a few weeks to recover from it. He spent a few weeks recouping and getting back into game shape, and then re-entered the 2009 season where he left off. When the season was over he announced he was foregoing his senior year and declaring for the 2010 NFL Draft. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1243680

He was graded with an 84% blocking consistency, and gave up just two sacks on 393 pass plays. He earned just three penalty flags in the ten games he started in 2009.
For his efforts in 2009 he was named to Walter Camp First team All American, and second all team by the AP. First team All Big Ten Conference, and was selected as the All Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the year. He was also on the watch list for the Outland and Lombardi Trophies.
