Story
Brutal Legend follows the story of Eddie Riggs, a roadie for a heavy metal band. One night as Riggs is tuning a guitar, he is injured and bleeds on his belt buckle. Before he knows what is happening, the blood brings the beast on his buckle to life, transporting him into the mythical Age of Metal, an alternative reality where demons have enslaved humanity. -
Gameplay
Eddie Riggs wields a battle axe he finds at the beginning of the game as his primary weapon. He also uses a V-Factor guitar he brought with him from the real world, which is imbued with magical powers and allows him to cast spells. The guitar can also be used as a ranged assault weapon, which allows Eddie to perform a guitar solo in response to the player's button presses. This is similar to gameplay in Johnny Whatever, the never-released Xbox game first announced in 2004. Possible attacks include a pyrotechnics attack that burns your enemies. A third weapon is the Deuce, a drop-top coupe that Eddie builds out of spare parts. The Deuce can be used to run enemies over or to traverse the large game world. -
