Cohen is an actor and comedian known for posing as different characters to gain material for his productions. He often interviews or talks with people who are unaware that he is playing a character. In the 2008 movie Borat, Cohen played a reporter from Kazakhstan who traveled to the U.S. to make a documentary about the country.
