Bruno Delbonnel was born in Nancy, France, in 1957. Bruno is a French cinematographer, that graduated from ESEC Film School, in Paris in 1978. He first joined the active film industry in his home of France, while working as a camera operator. His first work that started his career began with the short animated film, PAS DE REPOS POUR BILLY BRAKKO. This translates to NO REST FOR BILLY BRAKKO in English. This movie was released in 1984. Bruno Delbonnel was admired and nominated for an award at the Oscars on February 15 2010. He attended the 82nd annual Academy Awards on Sunday March 7, 2010, it did not win. This was held at the Kodak Theartre in Los Veges, California. He was nominated for an Oscar for Best Achievement in Cinematography, in honor of the big hit movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The Half-Blood Prince was released in 2009. Some of his other cinematography work includes, Across the Universe, released in September of 2007, Infamous released in October of 2006, and A Very Long Engagement released in November of 2004.
