Football Career
Prior to playing in the NFL, Gradkowski played college football with the Toledo Rockets in the NCAA. He set school records, including for the most touchdowns in a season at 29 and the most passing yards in a season at 3,518. In 2006, Gradkowski was drafted 195th overall in the NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Gradkowski made his professional debut the Buccaneers in 2006, starting in 11 games and recording 1,661 yards for nine touchdowns. He only saw action in four games in 2007, then was waived by the Buccaneers in May of 2008. Gradkowski signed with the Browns on December 2, 2008, after Browns' quarterbacks Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson were injured.
