Bruce Allen serves as the General Manager of the Washington Redskins in the National Football League. Allen takes over a Redskins team that began the 2009 season with a 4-9 record. Prior to Cerrato's resignation, the Redskins went 54-71 under Cerrato since 2002.
Career
Allen began his career playing NCAA Football as a punter for the University of Richmond. Although he was drafted by the Baltimore Colts in 1978, he never played in the National Football League.
In 1995, Allen joined the Oakland Raiders serving as a Senior Executive until 2003. He was hired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prior to the 2003-04 season, serving as their general manager.
