About Operation: Market Garden
During Operation: Market Garden, which lasted ten days, Allied forces dropped 35,000 paratroopers into German-held Holland to secure roads and bridges for an armored offensive. Holding these key locations would have paved the way for an Allied infiltration into the German lowlands.
