Brother Sam is an HBO movie starring Dan Fogler, based on the life of comedian Sam Kinison. The film is adapted from the book by Bill Kinison entitiled Brother Sam: The Short, Spectacular Life of Sam Kinison. Bill Kinison is the former manager and brother of the late comedian.
The movie is written by Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman and will be directed by Tom Shadyac.Variety: Brother Sam set for HBO (November 17, 2008)

Brief Biography
Brother Sam tells the life story of comedian and actor Sam Kinison. Kinison was a one-time Pentecostal preacher. He later became a standup performer and ultimately a successful actor in the film Back to School and the television shows Saturday Night Live, In Living Color and Charlie Hoover. Kinison was famous for his trademark screams and angry outbursts throughout his act.
