  • Career

    The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir originally started with nine people upon its establishment in 1973. Between the release of their first album, Giving Him Thanks in 1981 and their 2008 release, I'll Say Yes, participation grew to 285.

    The Choir's popularity has extended to various places across the globe, performing in various New York City venues to singing in Korea and Japan.

    Their live albums are perhaps their most notable recordings, with two of them--2000's God Is Working: Live and 2003's Live... This Is Your House--reaching the #1 spot on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart.

    The choir was founded and still directed by Carol Cymbala, wife of the Brooklyn Tabernacle's senior pastor, Jim Cymbala.
