Judges Comments
Randy
Appreciated that she listened to Andrew Lloyd Webber and she believed in what she sang.
Paula
Scolded White for the stopping the orchestra.
Simon
After she stopped the orchestra, felt her become incredibly tense and it hurt her performance.
Idol Chatter Review
"Lloyd Webber is again flabbergasted that Brooke has no idea about the context of her song, You Must Love Me (the new song for the Evita movie, sung by Madonna). She returns to her false start ways, only this one is a glaring bit of dead air. Second time may not prove the charm. Her lower register sounds pretty wobbly. She gains strength, but this really seems outside her wheelhouse. Maybe she'll get some sympathy votes. Randy says it wasn't great, although it picked up steam and had vulnerability. Paula is at a loss for kind words, and finally tells her never to start and stop, then finds some consoling blather. Simon says this is why he loves live TV, and says the false start caused her to strain. Brooke says she forgot the lyric. Simon says she did the right thing by stopping and starting."
