  In the second week of June 2008, it was reported that Brooke was engaged to choreographer Jonathan Prater. This followed revelations that Linda Hogan, Brooke's mother, was dating a former school mate of Brooke's, 19-year-old Charlie Hill.

  On July 24, 2008, Hogan issued a public apology for making false allegations against her father.
