Broken English is a dramatic comedy film about a New York City romance. The film is directed by daughter of famed director John Cassavetes, Zoe R. Cassavetes. This was her second attempt at directing, making her debut with Men Make Women Crazy Theory.

Broken English is about "Nora Wilder" played by actress Parker Posey who is facing anxiety about her love life. This angst is only amplified by those around her that live seemingly perfect lives. Her luck changes when she meets a Frenchman who changes her perspective on the part of life she's facing.
