  • Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir have faced off in two major fights at the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Lesnar made his UFC debut on February 2nd, 2008. Mir made Lesnar submit 90 seconds into the first round of the bout.

    On July 11, 2009, heavyweight champion Lesner (4-1) defended his title against Mir in UFC 100. Lesnar won in a second-round stoppage after a series of right hands to Mir's face.

    Lesnar came out strong and didn't relent against Mir, as he had erred in their previous match. Lesnar controlled the fight and scored takedowns in the first round, followed by repeated punches to the head and torso.

  • The Fight, UFC 81

    The announcement that Brock Lesnar had signed with the UFC was made at UFC 77 on October 20, 2007. It was later revealed that Lesnar's first opponent would be former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir. The fight took place at UFC 81: Breaking Point in Las Vegas, Nevada.

    After the fight began, Lesnar scored an early takedown on Mir. However, Lesnar was penalized for striking Mir in the back of the head, an illegal move. Lesnar again took down Mir, but this time, Mir locked a kneebar hold on Lesnar, forcing him to submit at the 1:30 mark in the first round.
