Beyond Basketball
Although Griner didn't play basketball until high school, she did play soccer and volleyball during junior high. The Nimitz high school basketball coach saw her playing volleyball during the fall of her freshman year, and recruited her for the team.Griner is a good student, whose favorite subjects are math and chemistry.
