Brittini Hardcastle is one of the six girls accused of beating cheerleader Victoria Lindsay and video taping the incident. They planned to post the video on YouTube and MySpace to embarrass Lindsay. The video shows Hardcastle striking the victim while she is on the couch. She can be identified in the video as the girl wearing pink pants and white tank top. Lindsay got up to leave, but Hardcastle and the other girls prevented her from doing so. Lindsay got two black eyes and a concussion from the beating. Hardcastle can be heard on the video saying "Fight back! You have to fight back!" and, "What, you gonna cry like a little girl?"
The girls, and two boys who acted as lookouts, have been charged with felony battery and false imprisonment. Hardcastle, Mercades Nichols, and Britney Mayes have been charged with felony kidnapping in addition to the assault charges. All teens involved are being charged as adults. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Lindsay's attackers showed no remorse.
As of April 12, 2008, Hardcastle had been released from jail on bail. Under the conditions of her bail, she may not go to the restaurant where Victoria Lindsay works, may not go to Mulberry High School for classes or extracurricular activities, may not use the Internet, and may not have any contact with the other people charged with the beating.
