On January 31, 2008, Britney Spears was taken to the UCLA Medical Center for what authorities have called a "mental health evaluation hold." She was taken from her home to the UCLA hospital at around 1:08 a.m., and accompanied by more than a dozen motorcycle cops, the fire department, and a police helicopter.
