British Airways is the United Kingdom's largest airline and one of the largest international airlines in the world. Commonly know as BA, the airline maintains major hubs at London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

On July 10, 2009 a Brtiish Airways 747 was evacuated shortly after leaving the departure gate in Phoenix, Arizona after smoke appeared in the cabin. No-one was hurt, and passengers praised the professionalism of the crew.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8145686.stm
