NASCAR official Brienne Davis was killed in a car crash on April 8, 2008. According to NASCAR, Davis collided with another vehicle in her pickup truck on I-77, North of Charlotte, NC. Upon impact, Davis' truck flipped over and split into two. She was airlifted to the Carolinas Medical Center, where she later died. NASCAR officials issued the following statement:
"We are deeply saddened at the loss... She was a key member of our team of inspectors and will be missed by the NASCAR community. "
Her funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 7PM at the Raymer Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Victory Junction Gang Camp.
