Bridgestone Super Bowl Commercial - Carma

A small woodland beaver wanders into a road with a branch in his mouth.  Seeing a car approaching, he drops the branch and holds his hands up in a surrender gesture.  The car swerves and brakes, the driver managing to avoid hitting the beaver.  The driver checks on the creature in his rear-view mirror to see the beaver saluting him as he moves along his way.

The commercial continues with a "6 Months Later" caption, as the driver makes his way along a deserted road during a storm. A tree falls in his path, and he brakes to a stop, exiting his car to see that the bridge ahead has been wiped out by the storm.  The beaver from the earlier shot is shown, exchanging gestures with the driver as a voice over states, "For drivers who want to get the most out of their cars, it's Bridgestone or nothing."

This commercial is part of Bridgestone's ad campaign running throughout Super Bowl XLV. It features a different spelling and definition of the word karma to "carma." Carma means: "the belief that one's good driving deed does not go unrewarded." A "clairvoyant" beaver who has cut down a tree branch and intends to carry it across a road purposely stops before reaching its destination. It is then met by a driver, whose "one good turn can mean the difference between life and death." At that point, the scene turns dark and rainy, a tree falls on the road and the scene fades to black. The narrator ends with the statement "What happens next may change how you drive forever." The viewer is left to wonder the outcome until the following commercial spot airs on February 6.
