Tire manufacturer Bridgestone aired its first Super Bowl commercial in 2008, and has continued with the tradition each year since. 2010 Halftime Show
In addition to airing commercials during the Super Bowl, Bridgestone gained additional exposure by sponsoring the 2010 halftime show. In 2010, Bridgestone was attempting to renew its sponsorship deal with the NFL. The first ad shown in 2009 during the Super Bowl depicts a scenic car trip with Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head in which the vehicle stops short due to sheep blocking the road. Slamming on the brakes, Mrs. Potato Head's "mouth" pops off and switches her eyes to enraged ones.
The second ad from 2009 involves a space ride on Titan, Saturn's moon. After their joyriding, they stop for rock collecting and return to find their tires were stolen by space visitors. A teaser video was released online prior to the official airing and showed clips of the commercials including a "behind the scenes" look at the commercials.
2010 Bridgestone Super Bowl XLIV Ad
In this commercial for the tire manufacturer Bridgestone, three men race towards a dock with a live killer whale in the car with them. They manage to fling the whale into the ocean by slamming on the brakes and skidding into a spin, culminating one's bachelor party. The ad aired during the 2010 Super Bowl.

2009 Bridgestone Super Bowl Ad Teaser
Bridgestone's 2009 commercial featured Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head on a car trip through the country side when they suddenly come across a heard of sheep. While only a teaser, the video describes how the ad was made with commentary from the crew.
2008 Bridgestone Super Bowl Ad
Bridgestone's 2008 commercial begins with a squirrel on the road retrieving a lost acorn. As a car quickly approaches, about to hit the squirrel, it, and other animals around, begin to scream. The scar swerves to miss the squirrel, highlighting Bridgestone Tire's maneuverability.
2008 Bridgestone Super Bowl Ad Featuring Richard Simmons
A second commercial from Bridgestone shown in 2008 during Super Bowl XLII features a car navigating a country road at night, where it is constantly forced to swerve to avoid various obstacles. The final of these obstacles is celebrity Richard Simmons. The car speeds up as though it is about to hit him, however, swerves at the last minute to spare Mr. Simmons' life.
