Brian Tallet

  • Brian Tallet is a left-handed pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays. Tallet was drafted in the 13th round of the 1997 amateur draft, but did not sign a professional contract so that he could be eligible to play college baseball at Louisiana State University. Tallet would get drafted again in the 2nd round of the 2000 draft by the Cleveland Indians, this time Tallet signed a contract to join the Indians organization. After two years in the minors Tallet reached the big leagues in 2002, pitching three years for the Indians before a trade sent him to the Blue Jays in exchange for Bubbie Buzachero.
  • Strengths

    Tallet throws three very effective pitches, a 90+ mph fastball, a change-up, and a slider. He does not require much rest between outings.[1]
  • Weaknesses

    Inconsistent mechanics leads Tallet to streaks of wildness.[1]
