Son of former San Diego Chargers coach Marty Schottenheimer, Brian Schottenheimer serves as the offensive coordinator for the New York Jets in the National Football League.

Football Career
After playing college football with the Kansas Jayhawks and Florida Gators, Schottenheimer began coaching. He served as an assistant coach with the St. Louis Rams in 1997, then moved to the Kansas City Chiefs the following year.Official Site of the New York Jets: Brian Schottenheimer
He returned to college in 1999, as an assistant coach for the Syracuse Orange and the USC Trojans. In 2001, Schottenheimer was hired as the quarterbacks coach of the Washington Redskins, working with the team for one season, before joining her father, Marty, with the San Diego Chargers in 2002. Schottenheimer serves as the quarterbacks coach with the Chargers, grooming Philip Rivers, who joined the Chargers after the 2004 NFL draft.
