American professional hockey player Brian Rolston plays for the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League. Rolston signed as a free agent with the Devils on July 1, 2008. Rolston missed 18 games during the beginning of the 2008-09 season with an ankle sprain before returning to the Devils on December 4, 2008.The Star-Ledger: Rolston Set to Return to Action for New Jersey Devils
NHL Career
Rolston was drafted 11th overall in the 1991 NHL draft by the New Jersey Devils. He chose not to join the NHL right away and attended and played for Lake Superior State University. In 1994, Rolston made his NHL debut with the Devils and helped the team win the 1995 Stanley Cup Championship. He continued to play with the Devils until November 3, 1999, when he was traded to the Colorado Avalanche. After 50 games with the Avalanche, Rolston was traded to the Boston Bruins on March 6, 2000. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Rolston did not play, but returned to the NHL in 2005 after signing with the Minnesota Wild as a free agent.Career Highlights
