Brian Michael Bendis

Brian Michael Bendis is a popular American comic book writer and occasional artist. He has scripted Marvel Comics' Ultimate Spider-Man, New Avengers and Daredevil as well as his creator-owned projects Powers and Torso.

Bendis, known for his decompressed storytelling style, is one of the most commercially and critically successful writers working in mainstream comics. He is the one of the architects of Marvel's "Ultimate" line, which reimagines and updates characters for new audiences. He has written every issue of Ultimate Spider-man since its launch and has contributed to the other "Ultimates" titles. He is also instrumental in the success of Marvel's New Avengers and Mighty Avengers series.

Bendis' creator-owned projects have received great acclaim as well. His 1995 Jinx crime series is being adapted for film by Universal Pictures with Charlize Theron attached to star and produce.
