Hockey Career
McGrattan began his career playing in the Ontario Hockey League for the Guelph Storm in 1997. He was traded to the Sudbury Wolves in 1998 and played there for two years, including in 1999, when he was selected 104th overall in the NHL draft by the Los Angeles Kings. McGrattan continued to play in the OHL, going to the Mississauga IceDogs, Owen Sound Attack, Oshawa Generals and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.Legends of Hockey : Brian McGrattan
On June 2, 2002, McGrattan signed with the Ottawa Senators and was placed with their American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. He was called up to make his NHL debut in 2005, playing in 60 games with the Senators and recording 141 penalty minutes.
