Years at Michigan
A walk-on at the University of Michigan, Brian Griese lead the Wolverines to a 31-23 upset over rival Ohio State University in the 1995 season as a backup. He repeated that in 1996, when he substituted again for injured starting quarterback Scott Dreisbach. Finally getting the start in 1997, Griese led the team to an undefeated season and a Rose Bowl victory over Washington State.
