Brian Dunkleman (with Ryan Seacrest) was the host on the first season of American Idol. His contract was not renewed and he went on to pursue further acting, stand up comedy and hosting roles.
During one stand-up spot in Lost Angeles he uttered, "If wishes came true Ryan Seacrest would have AIDS". He was immediately scrutinized by the press and roles were even more difficult to come by.
Reporting for Boot Camp
Dunkleman has wrapped his stint in fitness boot camp on the reality show Celebrity Fit Club Season 6. His team was called "The Newbies" and included Tina Yothers, Dustin Diamond, and singer Sommore. They were the new contestants on the long standing VH1 program, and were pitted against veteran Fit Club participants such as Toccara Jones, Willie Aames, Erin Moran and AJ Benza.
