Brian Bolland is a British comic book artist and writer.

Brian Bolland started his career contributing cover art to the sci-fi comic series 2000 AD. He then moved to DC Comics in the 1970s.

Having won six Eisner Awards through the 1990s and early 2000s, Bolland is an acclaimed cover artist.Comics DB: Brian Bolland He also drew the successful graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke in 1988.

The Killing Joke sympathetically portrays The Joker as a villain unfairly driven to the point of insanity. It is still considered by many fans as one of the best Batman storylines of all time.IGN: The 25 Greatest Batman Graphic Novels (June 13, 2005) Bolland's work for the graphic novel earned him another Eisner Award for "Best Artist" in 1989.
