Career
Brian Bolland started his career contributing cover art to the sci-fi comic series 2000 AD. He then moved to DC Comics in the 1970s.Having won six Eisner Awards through the 1990s and early 2000s, Bolland is an acclaimed cover artist.Comics DB: Brian Bolland He also drew the successful graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke in 1988.
The Killing Joke sympathetically portrays The Joker as a villain unfairly driven to the point of insanity. It is still considered by many fans as one of the best Batman storylines of all time.IGN: The 25 Greatest Batman Graphic Novels (June 13, 2005) Bolland's work for the graphic novel earned him another Eisner Award for "Best Artist" in 1989.
