American professional hockey defenseman Brett Lebda plays for the Detroit Red Wings in the National Hockey League. Lebda joined the Red Wings as an undrafted free agnet in 2004, making his NHL debut in 2005 and winning the Stanley Cup with Detroit in 2008.

After initially signing with the Red Wings, Ledba was assigned to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins. Lebda signed a full contract with the Red Wings on July 21, 2004, making his debut after the NHL Lockout in 2005. He played 46 games his rookie season, scoring three goals and nine assists. Perhaps his most notable season came in the 2007-08 campaign when he contributed three goals and 11 assists to help the Red Wings defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins to win the Stanley Cup Championship.
