Brett Dennen is an American folk singer/songwriter, named in 2007 by Rolling Stone as one of the "10 Artists to Watch."
His debut self-titled album was released in 2004 and included the songs "Desert Sunrise," "Just Like the Moon" and "Oh the Glorious." Dennen's second album, 2006's So Much More, featured "Because You Are a Woman" and "So Long Sweet Misery."
The reflective nature of his music has lent itself to being featured in various TV shows like Grey's Anatomy, House M.D. and Scrubs.
Apart from music, Dennen is a part of the San Francisco nonprofit organization The Mosaic Project, which unites children in pursuit of building their self-esteem and forming a sense of community with kids of all backgrounds.
