On April 12, 2010 he was rushed into surgery for an emergency appendectomy. The procedure went well, and Michaels was recovering from the surgery when he had an excruciating headache that led to another visit to an undisclosed hospital. Bret Michaels has suffered from another medical setback. On Thursday, May 20th, Michaels was once again admitted to a hospital after suffering from numbness on his left side. The numbness that was predominately located in his face and hands was caused by a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) or warning stroke. After Bret Michaels was admitted to the hospital for a subarachnoid hemorrhage, doctors ran several tests to try to pinpoint the cause and location of the bleed in the rockers brain. So far the tests have not shed much light on the condition. To add to the problems, he developed a complication called hyponatremia.
